It’s easy to plan for the future when you’re motivated, but the trick is to get your future self to execute on those plans. Decide on the activities that are required to reach your goals and manually set a calendar and alarm to notify you when it’s time to perform the activity. When setting out to adopt a new habit, or habits you don’t want to rely on motivation or will power, because neither last. From grocery shopping, to meal prepping, to exercising. Set a schedule and stick to it. After a few months of sticking to a preset schedule, and if you’ve applied the previous activities you should starting noticing results, making it easier for the habits that you’ve established easier to stick.
